UC Davis Researcher Tests Beijing's Efforts to Curb Pollution

UC Davis atmospheric scientist Steven Cliff is studying the impact downwind of Beijing during the Olympics after China shut down factories and reduced car, truck and bus traffic on the roads, as reported by the Sacramento Bee and KTVU News.
Sampling began in mid-July, using equipment approximately 30 miles southeast of Beijing, theBee reported. Measurements will conclude in October, with results available early in 2009.
