UC Davis E-Week 2013 Schedule
Posted on: January 14, 2013
UC Davis College of Engineering celebrates Engineering Week February 19-22 with a series of events to celebrate the accomplishments of engineers.
National Engineers Week, founded in 1951 by the National Society of Professional Engineers, is celebrated annually by thousands of engineers, engineering students, teachers, and leaders in government and business. In 1988, the National Engineers Week consortium expanded its scope and now includes major corporations and more than 100 engineering, scientific, and education societies dedicated to enhancing the public understanding of the engineering profession.
The Engineering Joint Council and its affiliated engineering student organizations take part in this national event by hosting activities at UC Davis. E-week at UC Davis enhances the public understanding of the engineering profession and promotes pre-college interest in math, science, and engineering as a career option.
This year’s Engineers Week theme celebrates you—engineers, engineering students, and technicians—and all of the amazing things you do everyday to make the world a better place. Visit our Flickr page to view photos from E-Week 2012.
