Baolong Zheng Receives TMS Light Metals Magnesium Best Poster Award

The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society honored Baolong Zheng with an award for the 2012 TMS Light Metals Magnesium Best Poster Award. Zheng received this award for his work at the 2012 TMS 141st Annual Meeting and Exhibition in January 2013, where more than 3,500 materials scientists and engineers from more than 68 countries gather to exchange their knowledge and expertise in order to further advance the fields of metallurgy and materials science and engineering.

Baolong Zheng works as an assistant project scientist in the UC Davis Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science. Zheng has contributed invaluable research to many projects, including Dean Enrique J. Lavernia’s report “Synthesis of Bulk Nanostructered Aluminum Alloys with Ultra-high Strength for Army Applications” and “Powder Additive Processing with Laser Engineered Net Shaping.”
